For the Fabulously Fit and Healthy Woman

I founded Health for Women because as a nurse and health care administrator with experience in patient care for over 20 years I felt it was important to share my thoughts and ideas to women about their health. I believe that we have wonderful traditional health care available to us in the U.S. but also believe that we can benefit from integrated holistic concepts.

I will share ideas with you and from time to time have experts blog to give you insight to healthy practices.

My philosophy also focuses on the ideas that optimism and positive emotions play a role in our health as research is showing.

This is a site where women come to read about preventative integrated health (combination of holistic, natural and conventional Western Medicine) and to learn about health risks that are specific to women and how to prevent them.

Now is the time to empower yourself, your body and learn good health habits, deal with weight, fitness, aging, and hormonal issues and become the woman who is balanced, healthy and happy.

The truth of the matter is that this site is for women of all ages, when you are in your 20’s, 30’s you should be learning good wellness practices. But when you reach your 40’s you need to really start being pro-active. And…when you reach your 50’s it should be a time of rejuvenation and preventing possible health problems, as well as understanding the changes your body is going through.

As women we focus on our families, friends, careers but we need to love ourselves enough to focus on ourselves and keep ourselves vital for us and our families.

Each week there is new information posted about a significant medical issue facing women. There is more to being well than just not being sick. Learn how your spiritual side can help you to be in a state of wellness.
